Legacy Pilates

Pontyclun’s first Reformer Pilates Studio in South Wales

At Legacy Pilates, we believe that movement is the foundation of a long and vibrant life. We’re creating a space where all bodies feel safe, strong, and seen - where Pilates is functional, accessible, and genuinely inspiring.

Who We Are

Legacy Pilates was born from a simple belief: that movement belongs to everyone.

We've created a space where all ages, shapes, and backgrounds are not just welcomed — they're celebrated. We believe Pilates should be functional, accessible, and genuinely life-changing, whether you're stepping onto a reformer for the first time or deepening a lifelong practice.

Our Sessions

Two women are participating in a Pilates class, using reformer exercise machines in a bright, white-walled studio. The woman in the foreground has dark hair in a high ponytail, is wearing a gray long-sleeve top and green leggings, and is in a kneeling position on the reformer with her hands on the parallel bars. The woman in the background has curly hair, wears a pinkish workout top, and is also engaged in an exercise on a reformer machine.

Frequently Asked Questions.

Do I need experience to join a class?

Not at all. Our classes are designed to welcome complete beginners and experienced movers alike. If it's your first time on a reformer, we'll make sure you feel comfortable and confident before you get started.

What should I wear and bring?

Wear comfortable, fitted clothing you can move freely in. Grip socks are required for all reformer classes — these can be purchased at the studio if you don't have a pair. Just bring yourself and some water.

How is Legacy Pilates different from a regular gym or yoga studio?

Reformer Pilates uses a spring-based resistance machine that supports and challenges your body in equal measure. It's low impact but deeply effective — building strength, improving posture, and increasing mobility in a way that works for all ages and body types. No prior fitness experience needed.
